Ciné Utopia will host a preview screening of the film recording of Luxembourg theatre production "The End My Friend" on Monday 22 February 2021 at 14:30.

"The End My Friend" is the film recording of a theatrical production by the Schungfabrik cultural centre in Kayl / Tétange, based on the Luxembourgish play "Fir wann ech net méi kann" by Romain Butti (winner of the 2018 National Literary Competition).

The show tells the story of two young men, Luca and Noah, who are torn between the security of being at home and the desire to break out and discover new horizons.

As the initial premiere scheduled for spring 2020 had to be postponed due to the first lockdown, the Schungfabrik decided to record the theatrical performance for subsequent streaming on a digital platform.

The show is in Luxembourgish language and lasts one hour. Directed by Ronald Dofing, the show stars Philippe Meyrer, Konstantin Rommelfangen and Annette Schlechter. Bartleby Delicate provided the music, whilst Yann Ney produced the background video and Serge Ecker was in charge of staging.

The preview of this recorded version will be followed by a meeting with the artistic team.

Due to limited places, prior registration is required via email: theendmyfriend21@gmail.com. Entry is free.
