The Automobile Club of Luxembourg (ACL) has confirmed that its popular Kannersëtzbazar (Car Seat Bazaar) is returning this month, on Saturday 19 October 2024; the twice-yearly event sees the ACL help one find a child's car seat in a easy and stress-free environment.
Last May, during the previous edition of the "Kannersëtzbazar", a total of 187 child's car seats were sold in Bertrange (59% of the seats on display) and 76% in Ingeldorf (53 seats). Given this success, the ACL decided to organise a second edition on 19 October 2024, from 09:00 to 13:00 on the ACL sites in both Bertrange and Ingeldorf. If one needs a child's car seat in almost new condition, or a second child's car seat for the car or for the grandparents, this is the event not to be missed!
Practical information
For sellers (ACL members only): Seats can be dropped off at the ACL in Bertrange and Ingeldorf (34 route d’Ettelbruck) from 10 to 15 October 2024, between 10:00 and 17:00, or until the maximum number of 300 seats for Bertrange and 50 seats for Ingeldorf is reached.
Reminder: only clean seats, in good condition and bearing the ECE R44/03, ECE R44/04 and R129 standards (also called “i-Size”) will be accepted. During the exchange, used seats and booster seats change owners at the net price, i.e. the Automobile Club acts as an intermediary for the sale and does not take any commission on the transactions.
ATTENTION:
- The sale (or deposit) is reserved for ACL members upon presentation of a membership card, with a maximum of two seats per member.
- The purchase is open to the general public, both members and non-members. Please note that only cash payments will be accepted.
ACL employees are at the disposal for information on safety standards. The ACL also keeps seat tests from previous years in its premises. They are also published on the ACL website and in the Club magazine, Autotouring.
