
The Grand Ducal Police have reported several cases of drink driving in Luxembourg on Tuesday 5 August 2025.
On Tuesday 5 August, at approximately 17:10, the police received a report of a traffic accident on Rue de Longwy in Niederkorn, where a vehicle had crashed into the steps of a house. The driver tested positive for alcohol and a provisional driving ban was issued.
In the late afternoon, a vehicle was reported near the speed camera between Frisange and Schlammest, with the driver suspected of being intoxicated. A police patrol located the driver at the scene, where he showed clear signs of alcohol consumption. A breathalyser test returned a positive result and a provisional driving ban was issued.
Later that evening, a police patrol stopped a driver on Rue Wiltheim in Luxembourg City due to dangerous driving behaviour. The driver tested positive for alcohol and a provisional driving ban was issued.
