On Saturday 14 May 2022, the Luxembourg City commercial trade union, the UCVL (Union commerciale de la Ville de Luxembourg), will be organising, in partnership with the City of Luxembourg (Ville de Luxembourg - VdL), its traditional "Stroossemaart" (street market) in the capital between 08:00 and 19:00.

During this commercial event, which brings together the shops of Luxembourg's old town, Ville Haute, and the Gare district, the entire perimetre will be reserved for customers. On this occasion, hundreds of merchants will mobilise to offer a wide variety of discounts. There will also be several opportunities to eat on site.

On the same occasion, the VdL integration and special needs department will invite visitors to the "Special Needs” Sports and Action Day, which is taking place as part of Awareness Week. From 09:00 to 19:00 in Place d'Armes, various organisations working in the field of specific needs will hold workshops, events and stands and will offer various opportunities to learn about specific needs and the services offered by the VdL and partner associations.

In order to allow the Stroossemaart to run smoothly, the main streets in the heart of the city centre as well as the shopping area of ​​the Gare district will be closed to traffic and parking and certain modifications to public transport will be in effect between 05:00 and 22:00 on Saturday.

Free parking will be available at the following car parks: Place de l'Europe; Fort Wedell; Glacis; Schuman; Stade; P+R Luxembourg Sud A + B; P+R Stade de Luxembourg; P+R Kockelscheuer; P+R Bouillon.
