Luxembourg's food safety authorities have announced the recall of Délifin brand sausage slices due to possible salmonella contamination.
The following product has been recalled from Aldi stores in Luxembourg: Délifin brand "Saucisson fin en tranches", 150g, with the expiry dates 14/03/2021 and 17/03/2021 and lot numbers GUS1647021027 and GUS1647021032.
Salmonella can cause symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, abdominal cramps, diarrhoea, fever and headache within six to 72 hours after consumption. These symptoms may be aggravated in young children, immunocompromised individuals and the elderly. People who have consumed the product in question and who display these symptoms are advised to consult a doctor.
