Christmas markets abound in Luxembourg this winter as La Belle Étoile opens its traditional festive display in the shopping centre's commercial gallery on Thursday 10 December 2015.
As in previous years, Cactus will be helping visitors to discover a selection of products tailored to the festive season in preparation for the Christmas period, with deals on premium meat, a wide range of unusual De Schnekert soups; Kavinskaya caviar and hand-sliced smoked salmon; Hervé Mons fine cheeses and Cathy Goedert breads; homemade Bamkuch and Christmas logs; and the two year-end speciality coffees of Bruno Ethiopia Sidamo Jasmine and 100% Arabice Christmas Blend.
To help visitors select the products right for them, stands will be offering tasting samples of such delicacies as oysters, luxury salmon and glasses of champagne or wine, as well as the emblematic Bamkuch.
At the Artisans Market, a total of 23 craftsmen will be inspiring a multitude of quality gift ideas in the form of rare wooden jewellery, ceramics, weaving, wood carvings, animal paintings, hats, glassware, leather and silk print.
This year, La Belle Étoile has introduced a brand new Christmas decoration in the form of thousands of twinkling bulbs lighting the 105 shops, bars and restaurants of the shopping centre, whilst 25 trees decorated by primary school classes will keep the upstairs festive. The latter forms part of a competition during which three winners will be determined by a jury of teachers, decorators and customers.
