Four of the 24-strong Meng Drogerie chain of shops in Luxembourg are to close, with those affected located at Bascharage, Rodange, Soleuvre and Wasserbillig.
The chain had previously been branded Schlecker and the Dayli before its current owners purchased the Luxembourg shops from the international group when it was facing financial difficulties.
The owners, Kerdos Group SA, have stated that these four shops have been unprofitable as they have received less than 50 customers/day. However, the group intends to open further stores in other locations throughout the Grand Duchy in an expansion plan.
