HRH Grand Duke Henri and HRH Grand Duchess Maria Teresa met with three top designers and Luxembourg artists, during a visit to Villeroy & Boch in the Chateau de Septfontaines: Anne Kieffer, Trixi Weis and Christophe de la Fontaine are the proud winners of the "Design Challenge", in which Villeroy & Boch and Luxinnovation, the National Agency for the Promotion of Innovation and Research, had organised last year.

The grand-ducal couple were greeted by Nicolas Luc Villeroy, Head of Tableware from Villeroy & Boch AG, Laurent Turmes, leader of Villeroy & Boch Luxembourg S.à.rl, and Jean-Paul Schuler, Director of Luxinnovation. The designers presented their objects and a film was shown to present their creative processes. This film is on sale, along with an information brochure for each piece decorated with a valuable package.

HRH Grand Duchess, who is very interested in art and design, and HRH the Grand Duke, received a copy of each creation.

The three objects, "Écrin Old Luxembourg" by Anne Kieffer representing the four most important places and symbols, "the magical Müllerthal Cassette" by Trixi Weis, both creative and functional and impressive and original, and "Old Coffee Luxemburg in motion" by Christophe de la Fontaine, were manufactured in the factory workshop of Villeroy & Boch in the Rollingergrund, according to the traditional method following a complex craftsmanship. The ceramic objects were made in limited edition, just 100 copies each, and will be an excellent gift, souvenir, collectible or decorative object "Made in Luxembourg". They can be ordered in the Villeroy & Boch Luxembourg outlets or online at www.villeroy-boch-design-challenge.lu.
