Luxembourg’s food safety authorities have been informed by Picard Luxembourg of a recall regarding a frozen blueberries product, following the detection of norovirus in them.
The product was withdrawn from sale immediately at the Picard store in Strassen, but a part had already been sold.
Norovirus can cause gastroenteritis, and an incubation period of 6 to 48 hours. The main symptoms are vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal cramps, nausea, as well as less specific symptoms such as fever, headache and general fatigue.
