On Friday 26 July 2024, Luxembourg's national railway company, the CFL, announced that the French rail network, the SNCF, was hit by “malicious” attacks on Thursday night.

The attacks were concentrated on high-speed routes.

TGV services from Luxembourg, particularly between Rodange station and Paris from Sunday 28 July, are still uncertain at present, and Lorraine TGV station (accessible via CFL's Gare Lorraine Express buses) is not served. Trains serving Lorraine TGV station are being directed to Metz and then replaced by buses.

According to information provided by SNCF, the French rail company expects traffic to return to normal on Saturday 27 July 2024 (early in the day for the Eastern route).

The CFL asked customers to check with the SNCF as the operator of these connections, and more specifically on the sncf-connect.com website in advance, for updates on traffic conditions.
