
Luxembourg's national railway company, the CFL, has announced that following a passenger train breakdown near Paradiso station on the morning of Tuesday 18 August 2025, it has now identified defects on the track at that location.
The CFL has stated that in order to ensure the safety of staff and passengers, train services have been suspended pending the completion of an assessment of the damage to the rails.
Restoration of the rails will take place during the night of Tuesday 19 into Wednesday 20 August, with train services between Kautenbach and Wiltz (in both directions resuming on Wednesday 20 August, in line with the usual timetable.
During the period of repair work the CFL is providing a replacement bus service between Kautenbach and Wiltz (both directions) which will serve all stops. Passengers can also use the RGTR bus network.
