The Luxembourg Tech School (LTS) FinTech Hackathon, the final event of the seventh edition of the LTS Level ONE programme, took place from Friday 30 June to Sunday 2 July 2023.

After finishing the last module of the programme, LTS students aged fifteen to nineteen came together at the House of Startups in Luxembourg-Bonnevoie to create innovative solutions focused on the "Digital Banks of the Future".

After one day of hacking, the students had the opportunity to meet with experienced mentors from the finance, technology and business industries who helped them to crystallise and finalise their digital banking solution ideas.

On the final day, the students presented their ideas to a jury, composed of Emilie Allaert, Head of Luxembourg Blockchain Lab, Anna Sobków, Senior Programme Manager at the Luxembourg House of Financial Technology (LHoFT), Jeronimo Azevedo, Chief Enterprise Architect at POST Luxembourg, and Andrey Martovoy, Innovation and Digital Adviser at Fondation ABBL, who evaluated the projects based on their innovation, implementation and presentation.

The jury went on to announce the following four winners:

  • 1st place: DivideX, a collective payment solution;
  • 2nd place: Money Mentor, aimed at empowering young people to learn about finance;
  • 3rd place (joint): Investor League, which offers stock market livestreaming by banks, and SIMoney, a mobile payments solution via SMS.

The Fondation ABBL pour l'éducation financière sponsored this hackathon, with the support of the LHoFT.
