Luxembourg's Ministry of Education, Children and Youth has announced that a total of 3,795 pupils are registered for the 2023 secondary school leaving examinations.
The written tests for the final exams for classical and general secondary education will start on Monday 15 May 2023.
A total of 3,795 candidates, including 2,156 young women (56.8%) and 1,639 young men (43.2%), are registered for the 2023 summer session.
Registrations for the various end-of-study exams are distributed as follows:
• classic secondary school leaving exam: 1,694 pupils (967 young women and 727 young men);
• general secondary school leaving exam: 2,090 pupils (1,182 young women and 908 young men);
• eleven evening class students (seven young women and four young men) will sit their final exams.
Written, oral and practical tests will be assessed by 1,564 members of 245 examination boards.
Luxembourg's Minister of Education, Children and Youth, Claude Meisch, has conveyed his best wishes for a lot of success to all the candidates for these exams, which will mark the end of their secondary school studies and pave their way to further studies or to the start of their professional life.
