A family enterprise active in importation and distribution of fruits and vegetables in Luxembourg and the Grand Region for almost 100 years, Grosbusch was the object of a visit by Luxembourg Secretary of State for the Economy, Francine Closener yesterday.
Structural expansion within the Green Triangle by the Ellange company has seen it bring its surface area up to 12,500 square metres. The company now employs 237 people, with 100 of those positions created over the last ten years. Thanks to investments that saw almost €14 million go into the construction of a new building and €5 million spent on modernisation of the existing building, the company has reinforced its position at the heart of the Grand Region from where it offers new services for prepping and conditioning fruits and vegetables for its clients.
During her visit, Secretary Closener said she was very happy to see the company’s growth record.
“I’m thrilled about the constant development of the Grosbusch company,” she said. “Thanks to its dynamism and initiatives towards digitalisation, the company reinforces its competitiveness and position in new markets, especially for bio-agricultural produce.
“The family company’s future is assured with the progressive transfer to the fourth generation. And I wish them a prosperous future, and plenty of success with the new constructions,” she said.
