On Monday 1 August 2016, Luxembourg’s Minister of Finance, Pierre Gramegna, travelled to Rome for a meeting with his counterpart, Pier Carlo Padoan, who is Minister for the Economy and Finance in Italy.
The two ministers discussed the economic and financial situation in Europe, the consequences of Brexit and the deepening of the Economic and Monetary Union. They further discussed the results of the stress test on European banks that were published Friday 29 July 2016 by the European Banking Authority.
Minister Gramegna also had a working lunch with senior representatives of the economic and financial world in Italy at Luxembourg’s embassy in Rome.
