The head of government of Tunisia, Habib Essid, will be joined by a Tunisian delegation to visit Luxembourg on Friday 4 March 2016.

The Prime Minister will be accompanied by Minister of Local Affairs, Youssef Chahed; Minister of Culture, of Heritage Preservation, Sonia Mbarek; and Minister of Tourism and Handicrafts, Selma Elloumi Rekik.

Mr. Essid will be hosted by the Luxembourg Prime Minister, Minister of State, Xavier Bettel at the Hôtel de Bourgogne, before joining Minister of Foreign and European Affairs, Jean Asselborn, and Secretary of State for the Economy, Francine Closener, for a working lunch.

Discussions between the two parties will focus on bilateral relations, as well as the relations between the European Union and Tunisia. Current events in European and international politics will also feature on the agenda.

The Tunisian Prime Minister will then be received by HRH the Grand Duke at the Grand Ducal Palace, with a meeting with the president of the Chamber of Deputies, Mars Di Bartolomeo, also planned.
