On Wednesday 17 February, the Secretary of State for Portuguese Communities, José Luís Carneiro, visited Luxembourg and was greeted by Nicolas Schmit, Luxemboug’s Minister of Labour, Employment and of Social and Solidarity Economy.
The two dignitaries met for an exchange of views in which the two emphasising the longstanding friendship between the two countries and discussed opportunities to support the integration of Portuguese nationals in the labour market, including vocational training and learning languages. They also discussed the existing close cooperation between the public employment services and between labour inspectorates of both countries.
