The Luxembourg Meet Greet Discover Group is organising an Discover Tradition event this Saturday 8 March at 17:30 in Dudelange.
Join the Luxembourg Meet Greet Discover Group for a special Discover Buergbrennen event. This traditional farewell to winter and welcome to spring has all the elements needed for an enchanting Discover Tour. The event will start in the tiny village of Boudersberg (Dudelange) and will take a slow walk up through the forest to Mont St Jean (Gehaansbierg) to the ruins of a long forgotten castle.
Here in the castle, over a Crémant, those attending will hear the legend of a Princess who refused to marry was turned into a snake, doomed forever to slither through the castle walls waiting for a man to free her from the curse. After the walk, the group will head to the church to join the torch parade to the Buergbrennen (bonfire) which they will help set alight and bask in its fire's warmth.
This is a fun evening for everybody, children, parents, couples, singles, young and old. Dogs welcome too! Don't forget to wear good walking shoes. Parking available. Food and drink available for purchase.
