POST Luxembourg has announced the first edition of the POP Gaming Festival, taking place at Luxexpo The Box in Luxembourg-Kirchberg on Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 September 2026.
Open to the general public, the festival will bring together video games, e-sports and pop culture across the venue of more than 3,000 m². The programme will include gaming and freeplay areas, virtual reality (VR) experiences, cosplay and e-sports tournaments.
Visitors will also be able to attend a cosplay competition, community activities, interviews and shows, as well as the finals of the POP Esports Masters, which will be broadcast live on livestream service Twitch.
Among the festival's guests will be Kristian Nairn, known for playing Hodor in the television series Game of Thrones. He will take part in an on-stage interview and autograph session, with visitors also having opportunities to meet the actor.
Around 50 exhibitors from Luxembourg and the Greater Region are expected to participate, including artists, illustrators, gaming and esports associations, content creators, specialist retailers and other representatives of the pop culture sector.
The POP Gaming Festival will be open from 10:00 to 18:00 on both days. Advance tickets cost between €7 and €14, while tickets purchased on site will range to €18.
