This Thursday 6 February, the Vice-President of the Greens at the European Parliament, Claude Turmes, will give a talk on L'EUROPE AU DÉFI DE L'ENVIRONNEMENT (Europe at the environmental challenge).
The talk will be held within the cycle "Regards croisés 2013-14 – Trois défis pour un projet européen en crise" at the Bâtiment Schuman (former hémicycle) in Luxembourg-Kirchberg, beside the Philharmonie, from 18:30.
Concerns about globalisation and the economic crisis often relegate environmental issues to the background. However, the fight against the waste of energy and energy efficiency remains a hot topic, as well as the promotion of renewable energies.
How to face the future without giving priority to these issues, including at European level? What a European energy policy and the environment can influence the evolution of our society, or even direct economic and social policy?
