Luxembourgish charity Stëmm vun der Strooss has organised its 18th traditional Christmas party for 350 homeless and disadvantaged people, to take place on Thursday 22 December 2016 at the Centre Culturel in Bonnevoie, from 12:30.
This year, the charity’s annual Christmas party will welcome 350 homeless people, long-term unemployed people, former prisoners, drug addicts, young people in trouble, alcoholics, those with mental illness, people who are experiencing social reinsertion, illegal immigrants, and asylum seekers.
The event invites these disadvantaged members of Luxembourgish society for a festive meal and entertainment. It is taking place thanks to the support of numerous volunteers and donations made by individuals, organisations and businesses.
The entertainment at the Christmas party will be provided by the Luxembourg Jazz Combo in the first half, and the musician and “Laachen fir ze heelen” president, Fernand Neumann, in the second half, to create a merry atmosphere for the less fortunate.
For this occasion, the Luxembourg Jazz Combo will be playing their festive composition “Swinging Christmas by LJC”. Meanwhile, Fernand Neumann will entertain the guests on piano and saxophone.
