Luxembourg's Prime Minister, Xavier Bettel, will travel to Israel and Palestine from Sunday 11 to Tuesday 13 September
He was invited by the Prime Minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu, and will visit Israel for three days. Prime Minister Bettel will be received in audience by the President of the State of Israel, Reuven Rivlin, and will have a bilateral meeting with his counterpart, Benjamin Netanyahu. During his visit, PM Bettel will also participate in a signing ceremony of an academic cooperation agreement between the University of Luxembourg and the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. He will be accompanied by a business delegation and will also take part in several events with Israeli economic actors in the fields of information, communication and financial technologies.
Subsequently, PM Bettel will visit Palestine at the invitation of the Prime Minister of the Palestinian Authority, Rami Hamdallah, on Tuesday 13 September 2016. In Ramallah, the Prime Minister will have a bilateral meeting with his Palestinian counterpart.
