A construction worker has died in a workplace accident in Oberkorn that happened on Tuesday morning.
The accident happened on a construction site on the Rue Rattem in the town shortly after 10:00. The 29 year-old man of Portuguese descent had been plastering a newly-constructed building when he fell abround 12 metres from the 3rd floor of the building through a gap in the staircase.
The emergency services were called to the site of the accident but were not in time to save the man's life.
The public prosecutor has ordered an autopsy be carried out on the body as well as a forensics examination of the site.
