Luxembourg's Gilles Muller has lost his 1st round match in the Men's Singles at the US Open tennis championships in New York.

On Monday, the 33 year-old player from the Grand Duchy lost in straight sets, 4-6, 2-6, 6-7 to France's Gael Monfils, the #10 seed.
