BEE SECURE today announced the creation of a new website, specifically designed for seniors, to provide information and advice on the use of the Internet and the multiple opportunities available on the Web.
The website, www.silversurfer.lu, informs its users of the risks and methods of cyber-scammers and provides the 'golden rules' for staying safe online. In the 'Gutt ze Wessén' section, commonly-referred to IT expressions are explained comprehensively.
Users are also able to find useful links, explicit information and advice on a variety of topics, including finding information, online communication, online shopping, e-banking, entertainment and social networking and online travel booking.
The silversurfer.lu site is an initiative of BEE SECURE in collaboration with SECURITYMADEIN.LU, RBS - Center fir Altersfroen, and ASSB - Amical SenioreSécherheetsberoder, under the patronage of the Ministry of Family, Integration and the Greater Region.
