On 8 October 2015, IBM ASPERA will be holding its exploration of technology session on the high speed secure transfer of multi-GB data sets.
ASPERA, an IBM company, developed its patented FASP™ transfer protocol to provide a high-speed transfer, security and bandwidth control for data movement. When the size of a file or data set may be too large to be delivered over distance on a TCP/IP (Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol) network, ASPERA moves the data reliable and securely whilst avoiding impeding other business-critical network traffic.
This therefore enables high-performance delivery of bulk data over long distances as well as low quality WAN environments, including satellite networks; performs equally well with ultra large files and ultra large collections of small files; provides faster sync between multiple peers at full bandwidth capacity; offers mobile apps transferring large files at high speeds over Wi-Fi and cellular networks at speeds up to 100 times faster than traditional mobile transfer technologies.
The session will begin at 09:30 at the I.R.I.S. Luxembourg Ecoparc in Windhof, Luxembourg. The event will involve a reception and coffee, a presentation of ASPERA, a live demonstration and a walking lunch and open discussion.
