The Banque Internationale à Luxembourg (BIL) has become the main partner of Luxembourg music venue den Atelier, it was announced Wednesday.
The bank stated that its move towards becoming the exclusive sponsor of the music promoter in the banking and financial sector was in line with its policy to support art and culture, which has seen the creation of the Galerie L'Indépendance and partnerships with various artists and cultural institutions.
Now BIL will be teaming up with den Atelier, which has welcomed a host of artists of international standing through its doors since opening in 1995. Although the original motivation behind the venue was to provide a stopping-off point for artists performing in neighbouring France, Germany or Belgium, den Atelier has helped numerous groups begin their skyrocketing careers on its stage, such as Muse, Placebo, Faithless and dEUS. In its capacity as promoter, den Atelier also organises events in other venues such as the Philharmonie and the Rockhal, which holds a capacity of 6,000 people.
"We are delighted to be launching this new collaboration with a dynamic team and a venue that has become an institution in the Luxembourg music scene over the past 20 years," commented Sarah Khabirpour, Head of Strategy, Regulatory Affairs and MarCom at BIL. "This brings us closer to a younger audience, always on the lookout for the latest sounds."
