The National Museum of Natural History (natur musée) in Luxembourg-Grund has announced that it is organising its annual festival (Natur Musée Fest) on Sunday 15 September 2024, from 11:00 to 18:00.
On the programme are more than 25 information and animation stands, laboratory and collection visits, experimental workshops, educational games and discovery tours. Participation in the workshops and admission to the museum are free.
The museum festival is an opportunity for people of all ages to discover the atmosphere of a natural history museum and take a look behind the scenes at how the museum promotes environmental protection and environmental education.
The museum is also inviting the public to celebrate its renewed commitment as a "Green Event" and contribute together to a more sustainable future. As an institution committed to the preservation of nature and biodiversity as well as the teaching of environmental sciences, this is "a very important step", noted the organisers.
This event is organised in partnership with Panda Club, Science Club, Frënn vum Naturmusée asbl, natur&ëmwelt, Luxembourg's Nature and Forest Agency, SICONA, SOS Villages d'Enfants Monde (Luxembourg), Naturpark Our and Amateur Astronomen Lëtzebuerg.
