Luxembourg’s Naturmusée (National Museum of Natural History - MNHN) is set to launch the country’s first Ukrainian-language audio guide on Thursday 5 June 2025.
According to the MNHN, the project was carried out as part of an initiative launched by the First Lady of Ukraine, Olena Zelenska. It was implemented by the Embassy of Ukraine in Luxembourg in cooperation with Luxembourg’s Ministry of Culture and the National Museum of Natural History.
"Over 100 leading museums, palaces, and galleries around the world now offer Ukrainian audio guides across more than 50 countries,” the museum stated, framing the initiative as part of a wider effort to promote cultural accessibility for Ukrainian speakers around the world.
The MNHN noted that Ukrainian-speaking visitors can now explore its galleries in their native language, with permanent exhibitions presenting themes such as the formation of the planet and the history of life. These displays reflect current natural history research and offer a global perspective on subjects including evolution and biodiversity.
The official launch is scheduled to take place on Thursday 5 June 2025 at 15:00 at the National Museum of Natural History, located at 25, rue Münster, L-2160 Luxembourg.
The launch event will be held on Thursday 5 June 2025 at 15:00 at MNHN in Luxembourg-Grund (25 Rue Münster).
