Luxembourg's National Roads Administration has reported that the speed limit in the Gousselerbierg tunnel on the A7 motorway has gone back up to 90 km/h.
Due to a water leak observed in the water supply to the Gousselerbierg tunnel at the Lorentzweiler viaduct, the tunnel was found to be in "degraded" operating mode. The maximum authorised speed was temporarily reduced from 90 to 70 km/h, in order to limit the risk of accidents.
With the water supply problem now resolved, the maximum authorised speed is once again 90 km/h (as of 10:00 on Tuesday 9 January 2024).
