On Thursday 29 October 2026, the City of Luxembourg (VdL) announced that, as a result of roadworks on Avenue Marie-Thérèse, traffic arrangements will be adapted from Saturday 31 October to Monday 9 November 2026.
The VdL said that two phases of work will take place on Avenue Marie-Thérèse at the junction with Boulevard Prince Henri between 05:30 on Saturday 31 October and 05:00 on Monday 9 November.
The first phase, on the southern side of Avenue Marie-Thérèse, is scheduled from Saturday 31 October 2026 (05:30) to Wednesday 4 November 2026 (05:30).
The second phase, on the northern side of Avenue Marie-Thérèse, is scheduled from Wednesday 4 November 2026 (05:30) to Monday 9 November 2026 (05:00).
During both phases, the left turn onto Boulevard Prince Henri will be closed to traffic for vehicles travelling towards the city centre, and traffic lanes will be temporarily diverted around the construction site. Traffic will continue to flow in both directions throughout the works.
The City of Luxembourg’s Traffic Department confirmed that it will ensure that appropriate signage is installed.
In the event of adverse weather conditions, the works will be postponed.
