The Administration des ponts et chaussées (Luxembourg's bridges and roads administration) has announced that this week-end will see significant deviations on the A1 motorway at the Luxembourg-Germany border.

The works involve removing the awning at the Wasserbillig service station and will last from 11:00 on Friday 17 July until around 05:00 on Monday 20 July.

- the A1 motorway from Trier towards Luxembourg will be closed from 11:00 on Friday 17 July until around 05:00 on Monday 20 July

- the A1 motorway from Luxembourg towards Trier will be closed from 19:30 on Friday 17 July until around 05:00 on Monday 20 July, as well the CR141B between the roundabout and the Wasserbillig service area in the direction of Trier on the A1, the CR141B from the carpark of the Wasserbillig service area and towards the CR141B roundabout, and also the CR141B from the P&R in the direction of Trier along the A1.

A1 traffic across the German-Luxembourg border is being diverted in both directions via the bypass of the Wasserbillig service area. Traffic from the CR141B (Wasserbillig) and the P&R and towards the German-Luxembourg border of the A1 is diverted from the Wasserbillig interchange via the Mertert interchange, the N1D and the N1 where the access on the A1 towards the German-Luxembourg border will be operational.

Traffic from the car park in the Wasserbillig service station in the direction of Luxembourg to Trier towards the CR141B roundabout is being diverted via the A64 (Germany) to the Trier interchange back in the direction of Luxembourg.
