The Abbaye de Neumünster (neimënster) in Luxembourg-Grund has announced an open-air baroque concert taking place in its courtyard on Sunday 13 July 2025 at 19:00.

Around 20 young musicians (mostly from major European conservatories) from the Ambronay Academy (Académie d'Ambronay) will perform under the direction of French violinist Amandine Beyer, taking the audience on a musical journey through the rich eighteenth-century Venetian repertoire.

The "Miroirs Vénitiens" concert programme features a mix of Vivaldi's timeless works with lesser-known gems by composers such as Evaristo Felice Dall'Abaco and Johann Adolph Hasse. The performance will explore a dialogue of contrasts, alternating virtuoso solos and orchestral passages, enhanced by dramatic staging and spatialisation - notably in Vivaldi's rarely performed Concerto for Double Orchestra.

According to the organisers, the project serves as a bridge between training and professionalisation, continuing a legacy of more than 30 years of nurturing emerging talent.

Following several weeks of intensive preparation in Ambronay (France) and Torroella de Montgrí (Spain), the young artists will share not only their technique but also the "essence of a profound and transformative musical experience".

The performance is suitable for spectators of all ages. Tickets cost €22 (€9 reduced or €1.50 with a Kulturpass). For further details, see https://www.neimenster.lu/en/events/miroirs-venitiens/

The Ambronay Academy is part of the European Sustainable-EEEMERGING programme, which supports young early music ensembles, with an emphasis on sustainability in artistic careers. Since its creation in 1993, the academy has supported more than 1,000 musicians, singers and dancers.
