On Tuesday 8 July 2025, the Europa Experience, the visitors' centre at the European Parliament and the European Commission in Luxembourg, Kirchberg, officially welcomed its 50,000th visitor.

The centre, which opened on May 2024 and was officially inaugurated on 31 January 2025, announced that on Monday 7 July 2025 it had reached the milestone, which coincided with a visit by 29 students from the Lycée Atert in Redange, one of the 29 Ambassador Schools of the European Parliament in Luxembourg.

To mark the occasion, the school received a commemorative certificate from the Liaison Office of the European Parliament in Luxembourg and the Representation of the European Commission in Luxembourg, which was presented by Head of the Liaison Office of the European Parliament in Luxembourg, Christoph Schroeder.

The interactive centre, which welcomes both groups and individual visitors, offers insight into the workings of the European Union (EU) and highlights, in an entertaining and immersive way, the impact of the institution’s decisions on the everyday lives of those within the EU. Through temporary exhibitions and various events, the centre aims to inform, inspire and encourage young people to become involved and take advantage of the European programmes available to them.

The centre has announced that to mark the 75th anniversary of the Schuman Declaration it is hosting a special exhibition along with guided tours and, throughout the summer, activities related to the EU are being offered in the newly installed Children's area within the centre.
