On Wednesday 12 March 2025, the Accident Insurance Association (Association d'assurance accident - AAA), Joint Social Security Centre (Centre commun de la sécurité sociale - CCSS) and National Health Fund (Caisse nationale de santé - CNS) reported on two years of online procedures for private households.

2025 marks two years of online procedures for CCSS and one year for CNS; AAA also recently introduced a digital service, marking progress in the digitalisation of services for employers of private household staff.

Since their implementation, these online services have enabled employers of private household staff to “easily carry out” the following procedures:

- declaration of employment in a private household or host family;
- declaration of termination in a private household;
- modification of biannual declarations of hours and salaries;
- request for reimbursement of sick pay for private household staff;
- declaration of a work or commuting accident involving private household staff;
- access to digital documents via the eDelivery function;
- consultation of affiliations, salaries and balance.

The digitalisation of procedures allows employers of private household staff to access their documents and complete administrative tasks more efficiently through their personal space on MyGuichet.lu.

According to the report, since 2023, 4,800 online procedures have been recorded for employment declarations, accounting for 55% of all such declarations. Since 2024, 13,000 online procedures have been recorded for sick pay reimbursement requests, representing 60% of all reimbursement requests.

These online procedures simplify users’ daily administrative tasks by providing quick and intuitive access,” stated President of the CNS, Christian Oberlé.

The progress made over the past two years highlights the importance of digitalisation in creating a more efficient and accessible administration,” added President of the AAA and CCSS, Claude Seywert. He concluded: “The collaboration between four institutions - AAA, CCSS, CNS and CTIE [Government IT Centre] - has enabled the full digitalisation of procedures related to private households, making services more straightforward and faster.”
