On Tuesday 29 March 2022, Luxembourg's Ministry of Health reported 1,110 new COVID-19 (coronavirus) infections; there have been 1,035 fatalities (three new deaths since Monday) resulting from the virus to date.

1,110 Luxembourg residents tested positive on Tuesday from a total of 3,123 tests carried out the day before, representing 174.88 people per 100,000 inhabitants. The positivity rate was 35.57%. Wednesday 26 January 2022 marked the record daily high of 3,073 new cases.

The average daily increase (over a seven-day period) is currently 1397.14. 

A total of 24 people are in hospital with the virus, including three patients in intensive care. 

There are currently 18,587 active infections known, whilst a total of 192,768 people have recovered from the virus to date. The effective reproduction rate in Luxembourg stands at 0.99.

A total of 1,274,609 vaccinations have been carried out in Luxembourg to date (479,500 first doses, 430,413 second doses, 364,696 additional doses). A total of 471,914 people are now fully vaccinated.

The incidence rate (per 100,000 inhabitants) for unvaccinated individuals was 147.09; for vaccinated individuals, this was 185.38. These figures only take into consideration people who returned a positive PCR test.
