On Monday 28 March 2022, Luxembourg's Ministry of Health reported 61 new COVID-19 (coronavirus) infections; there have been 1,032 fatalities (seven new deaths over the weekend) resulting from the virus to date.

61 Luxembourg residents tested positive on Monday from a total of 525 tests carried out the day before, representing 9.61 people per 100,000 inhabitants. The positivity rate was 11.62%. Wednesday 26 January 2022 marked the record daily high of 3,073 new cases. 

A total of 25 people are in hospital with the virus, including four patients in intensive care. 

There are currently 17,500 active infections known, whilst a total of 192,748 people have recovered from the virus to date. The effective reproduction rate in Luxembourg stands at 1.18.

A total of 1,274,567 vaccinations have been carried out in Luxembourg to date (479,497 first doses, 430,404 second doses, 364,666 additional doses). A total of 471,905 people are now fully vaccinated.

The incidence rate (per 100,000 inhabitants) for unvaccinated individuals was 9.77; for vaccinated individuals, this was 9.55. These figures only take into consideration people who returned a positive PCR test.
