On Tuesday 15 March 2022, Luxembourg's Ministry of Health reported 907 new COVID-19 (coronavirus) infections; there have been 1,007 fatalities (one new death since Monday) resulting from the virus to date.

907 Luxembourg residents tested positive on Tuesday from a total of 2,760 tests carried out the day before, representing 142.90 people per 100,000 inhabitants. The positivity rate was 32.89%. Wednesday 26 January 2022 marked the record daily high of 3,073 new cases.

The average daily increase (over a 7-day period) is currently 863.14. 

A total of 32 people are in hospital with the virus, including three patients in intensive care. 

There are currently 11,795 active infections known, whilst a total of 182,044 people have recovered from the virus to date. The effective reproduction rate in Luxembourg stands at 1.05.

A total of 1,270,982 vaccinations have been carried out in Luxembourg to date (479,215 first doses, 429,105 second doses, 362,662 additional doses). A total of 470,598 people are now fully vaccinated.

The incidence rate (per 100,000 inhabitants) for unvaccinated individuals was 120.97; for vaccinated individuals, this was 151.26. These figures only take into consideration people who returned a positive PCR test.
