On Monday 14 March 2022, Luxembourg's Ministry of Health reported 24 new COVID-19 (coronavirus) infections; there have been 1,006 fatalities (two new deaths over the weekend) resulting from the virus to date.

24 Luxembourg residents tested positive on Monday from a total of 424 tests carried out the day before, representing 3.78 people per 100,000 inhabitants. The positivity rate was 5.67%. Wednesday 26 January 2022 marked the record daily high of 3,073 new cases. 

The average daily increase (over a seven-day period) is currently 844.57. 

A total of 31 people are in hospital with the virus, including three patients in intensive care. 

There are currently 10,906 active infections known, whilst a total of 182,027 people have recovered from the virus to date. The effective reproduction rate in Luxembourg stands at 1.11.

A total of 1,270,923 vaccinations have been carried out in Luxembourg to date (479,205 first doses, 429,093 second doses, 362,625 additional doses). A total of 470,585 people are now fully vaccinated.

The incidence rate (per 100,000 inhabitants) for unvaccinated individuals was 4.56; for vaccinated individuals, this was 3.48. These figures only take into consideration people who returned a positive PCR test.
