On Wednesday 23 February 2022, Luxembourg's Ministry of State and Ministry of Health announced that the COVID-19 vaccination centre temporarily installed at Luxexpo The Box in Luxembourg-Kirchberg will close on Saturday 5 March 2022 and will be replaced by the Hall Victor Hugo vaccination centre in Luxembourg-Limpertsberg, which will reopen on Tuesday 8 March 2022.

The Hall Victor Hugo vaccination centre will offer, like other COVID-19 vaccination centres, the following vaccinations:

  • First dose with or without an appointment;
  • Vaccination reminder (booster) by appointment;
  • Vaccination (booster) without an appointment for Luxembourg residents or citizens who received a primary vaccination abroad or for people who received a first dose of vaccine in a mobile setup (pop-up);
  • Vaccination of children from 5 to 11 years old with or without an appointment for the first dose.

Vaccinations in private or paediatric practices are only possible by appointment, to be made directly with the attending physician. Appointments for COVID-19 vaccination in vaccination centres can be booked online at Guichet.lu.

People going to the vaccination centres without an appointment are asked to arrive no later than 30 minutes before it closes.

Closed on Mondays and changes in opening hours

From Monday 28 February 2022, the three COVID-19 vaccination centres as well as the pop-ups in shopping centres and at the Luxembourg train station will be closed on Mondays.

On Saturday 26 February 2022, due to the launch of the Esch2022 European Capital of Culture event, the vaccination centre in Esch-sur-Alzette will close at 12:00 instead of 13:00.

The opening hours of all vaccination points can be consulted on impfen.lu.
