On Wednesday 3 November 2021, Luxembourg's Ministry of Health reported 97 new COVID-19 (coronavirus) infections; there have been 848 fatalities (no new deaths since Tuesday) resulting from the virus to date.
97 Luxembourg residents tested positive on Wednesday from a total of 2,255 tests carried out the day before, representing 15.28 people per 100,000 inhabitants. The positivity rate was 4.30%. Wednesday 18 November 2020 marked the record daily high of 891 new cases.
The average daily increase (over a 7-day period) is currently 118.0.
A total of 38 people are in hospital with the virus, including thirteen patients in intensive care.
There are currently 2,031 active infections known, whilst a total of 79,311 people have recovered from the virus to date. The effective reproduction rate in Luxembourg stands at 0.82.
A total of 835,727 vaccinations have been carried out in Luxembourg to date (434,930 first doses, 377,484 second doses). A total of 417,075 people are now fully vaccinated.

Since 24 August 2020, the Ministry of Health's published figures only include resident infection numbers, as opposed to earlier figures which included both residents and non-residents (i.e. cross-border workers).
