On Tuesday 27 July 2021, Luxembourg's Ministry of Health reported 86 new COVID-19 (coronavirus) infections; there have been 822 fatalities (no new deaths since Monday) resulting from the virus to date.
86 Luxembourg residents tested positive on Tuesday from a total of 6,060 tests carried out the day before, representing 13.55 people per 100,000 inhabitants. The positivity rate was 1.42%. Wednesday 18 November 2020 marked the record daily high of 891 new cases.
The average daily increase (over a 7-day period) is currently 61.14.
A total of 26 people are in hospital with the virus, including three patients in intensive care.
As per figures from Monday 26 July 2021, there are currently 1,318 active infections known, whilst a total of 71,497 people have recovered from the virus to date. The effective reproduction rate in Luxembourg stands at 0.87.
A total of 691,290 vaccinations have been carried out in Luxembourg to date (392,073 first doses, 299,217 second doses); 902 individuals received their first dose of the vaccine and 5,309 received their second dose on Monday. 332,304 people are now fully vaccinated.

Since 24 August 2020, the Ministry of Health's published figures only include resident infection numbers, as opposed to earlier figures which included both residents and non-residents (i.e. cross-border workers).
