On Monday 26 July 2021, Luxembourg's Ministry of Health reported four new COVID-19 (coronavirus) infections; there have been 822 fatalities (one new death over the weekend) resulting from the virus to date.
Four Luxembourg residents tested positive on Monday from a total of 313 tests carried out the day before, representing 0.63 people per 100,000 inhabitants. The positivity rate was 1.28%. Wednesday 18 November 2020 marked the record daily high of 891 new cases.
The average daily increase (over a 7-day period) is currently 61.57.
A total of 26 people are in hospital with the virus, including two patients in intensive care.
As per figures from Sunday 25 July 2021, there were 1,239 active infections known, whilst a total of 71,490 people had recovered from the virus. The effective reproductive rate in Luxembourg stands at 0.82.
A total of 685,075 vaccinations have been carried out in Luxembourg to date (391,172 first doses, 293,903 second doses). 326,694 individuals are now fully vaccinated.

Since 24 August 2020, the Ministry of Health's published figures only include resident infection numbers, as opposed to earlier figures which included both residents and non-residents (i.e. cross-border workers).
