Luxembourg's Ministry of National Education, Children and Youth has announced that the Michel Rodange primary school in Waldbillig (Mullerthal region) is going into quarantine.

Between 19-25 January 2021, five positive COVID-19 cases were identified among the staff of the maison relais in Waldbillig as well as three positive students attending the maison relais.

As the teachers have extensive contact with primary school pupils, pupils in several classes who have come into contact with the positive cases have been quarantined.

Yesterday, 26 January 2016, a teacher in several classes at the primary school also tested positive.

Given the number of classes already set aside or in quarantine, the “COVID-19 and education” Steering Committee has decided, as a precautionary measure, to quarantine all classes in the school until 1 February 2021 inclusive. The maison relais will also remain closed until that date.

People quarantined are invited to undergo a COVID-19 test from 31 January.
