On Saturday afternoon, a 25 year-old driver lost his life following a car accident between Grosbous and Eschdorf.
The accident happened at around 13:40 when a van overtook a car on the road between the the villages, and crashed head-on into an oncoming BMW coming from Eschdorf.
The driver of the van was seriously injured and was taken to hospital in Ettelbruck, and the passenger of the BMW was also seriously injured and was taken to the Central Hospitalier in strassen. The driver of the BMW, a 25 year-old resident of Ospern, was decalred dead at the scene of the accident.
The roadway was blocked to all traffic while the police conducted an investigation of the crash site and the wreckage was cleared.
