Yesterday, an oil slick was observed in the Alzette, in upper Schifflange. Water Management Administration (EAM) teams and rescue services are on site to assess the extent of contamination and take the necessary action. 

The origin of the pollution has not yet been detected, but research is underway. Dams have been installed to limit the impact of pollution.
