Reports from the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) and ExpatFinder.com have revealed that Luxembourg is one of the most attractive locations for expat families.
Working with data from the OECD’s recent Taxing Wages 2017 Report, ExpatFinder.com has confirmed that Luxembourg, Switzerland and Norway are among the best places in Europe to move to as an expat family seeking increased wages and an improved quality of life.
Based on the findings, Sebastien Deschamps, CEO and Founder of ExpatFinder.com, Stephane Compain, CEO of LuxRelo, and Pierre Jéronimo, CEO of Geneva Relocation have highlighted that Luxembourg, Switzerland and Norway give the best average worker's hourly wage to the number of hours of work. Moreover, European countries are still attractive to expat families because of tax and wages, especially considering that tax rates in Switzerland and Luxembourg went down this year compared to last year.
In the case of Luxembourg in particular, Stephane Compain commented that “Despite the high cost of living and the recent turbulence around the Brexit decision, families are still being attracted to Luxembourg for work, due to some of the highest average wages in the world and its prime position at the centre of Europe.”
