Luxembourg's Ministry of the Economy has announced an increase in the prices of diesel, heating oil, diesel for industrial/commercial and agricultural/horticultural use, and LPG and propane.

As of Thursday 17 September 2026, the price of diesel increased by 3.7 cents to €2.160 per litre (including VAT) and the price of heating oil increased by 3.2 cents to €1.642 per litre (including VAT).

Additionally, the cost of both diesel for industrial/commercial and agricultural/horticultural has risen by 3.7 cents to €1.765 and 1.612 per litre (including VAT) and the prices for LPG and propane have risen by 3.8 cents and 2.6 cents respectively to 83.0 cents and 84.4 cents. 

Prices for unleaded 95 octane petrol and unleaded 98 octane petrol remain at €1.898 and €2.128 per litre (including VAT) respectively.

Fuel prices have fluctuated in Luxembourg and other countries in recent months amid the ongoing crisis in the Middle East.
