On Thursday 9 July 2026, Luxembourg’s Ministry of Health and Social Security announced that the Luxembourg City medical centre will exceptionally be closed on Saturday 11 and Sunday 12 July due to essential works being carried out on the building’s main electrical transformer.
The ministry advised that for patients requiring a general practitioner consultation who are unable to contact their usual doctor, the two other out-of-hours medical centres remain accessible during their usual opening hours:
• Ettelbruck medical centre: 110 Avenue Lucien Salentiny, L-9080 Ettelbruck
• Belval medical centre: 3–5 Avenue du Swing, L-4367 Belvaux
Opening hours of the medical centres:
• Weekdays: from 20:00 to 00:00
• Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays: from 08:00 to 00:00

The ministry apologised for any inconvenience caused by this exceptional closure and thanked patients for their understanding.
