The Grand Château d'Ansembourg in Helperknapp (Mersch) will host the second edition of the Festival du Vivant on Sunday 2 August 2026, from 11:00 to 18:00.

According to the organisers, the festival, which follows the success of its inaugural edition in 2025, brings together heritage, nature, gastronomy, music and cultures from around the world. The event continues the tradition of the former Fête du Château, which was held for more than thirty years.

The programme will feature free open-air concerts, performances by young musicians, a rockabilly concert by Jerem Perry et les Margouillots, Luxembourgish folk dances by the Groupe Vallée des Sept Châteaux de Mersch, as well as a demonstration of the Japanese-inspired TenChi Tessen movement art by Miguel Raposo.

Visitors will also be able to enjoy guided tours of the château's historic baroque gardens in French and German, as well as new botanical tours in French, English and Dutch. The organisers have also planned access to the historic vegetable garden, where visitors can learn about ecosystem-based gardening practices and take part in an interactive quiz.

The festival will also feature culinary stands representing more than ten countries and regions, artisan stalls, nature workshops, storytelling sessions, pottery workshops, face painting, games and other children's activities.

Christophe Déage, President of LH Europe – Grand Château d'Ansembourg, said: "The Festival du Vivant is above all a celebration open to everyone. Our ambition is for heritage to be shared, nature to be passed on and cultures to come together. In the exceptional setting of the Grand Château d'Ansembourg, everyone is invited to enjoy an experience where wonder, discovery and conviviality come together naturally.” He added: "This year, we wanted to make the day accessible to as many people as possible by offering all activities free of charge."
